Emerging athlete getting ready for major tournament

The rising star boasts substantial online following

The young golfer will have plenty of prominent supporters when she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple international courses and frequently matches against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He essentially advised me to play and have fun," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."

While still amateur, the golfer has played in only three events this year and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.

Yet she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He represents the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to play, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."

Kai will face several the biggest names in the sport at the competition, such as world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation helps introduce golf to wider groups, particularly with youth audiences.

The young star has millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness company.

Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
